Who was your first celebrity crush?
Submitted by Glory.
I think that must have been Jonathan Knight, of New Kids on the Block. I still think he was a pretty good-looking guy, minus all the 80s-ness. I wonder what he looks like now.
Have you ever played matchmaker? How did it go?
I have not, probably because I don't have that many friends and I certainly don't have different social circles from which I could pluck prospects who hadn't met. Likewise, nobody has ever hooked me up!
What's the best way to get on your good side?
Submitted by Manon-It-All.
1. Smile a lot.
2. Be highly responsible and trustworthy. Having a "take-charge" personality is a plus but optional.
3. Be very witty and make me laugh.
What was the worst job you ever had?
Submitted by salaryman.
I once worked the front counter at a gym for a total of five hours. They trained me for about 20 minutes, then left, and I was alone for the rest of my shift. I had no flipping idea how to do a damn thing. I went home crying, and the next day my brother and I returned the door key, he had some words, and I never got paid and never went back.
What is one of your favorite poems?
Submitted by marvel is my pen name.
My favorite poem is "Richard Cory" by Edwin Arlington Robinson.
Whenever Richard Cory went down town,
We people on the pavement looked at him:
Who was your best (or worst) elementary school teacher?
Submitted by Minnow.
I loved all of my elementary school teachers, and they all loved me. Hehe. I wish I could visit each one of them again, but I know that some of them have passed away. In particular I loved my fourth grade teacher and my sixth grade teacher. Those were great years for me, and they were just so much fun.
If you could have one superpower, what would you choose?

I think I would like to fly. I used to have flying dreams when I was younger (back when I had good dreams sometimes) and it was awesome. Plus, I love flying in planes. :)
How have people mispronounced your name? How is it supposed to sound?
Submitted by Lorie.
My first name has never really been pronounced wrong, but it's hard to hear and remember. I get called Lauren, Laurel, and Laurie quite often.
As for the spelling, I get "Lora" an awful lot. And just when I get lazy and forget to spell my first name out on the phone, sure as shootin that person will spell it wrong. Some people have difficulty typing it and I will see "Luara" on occasion.
My grandmother says "Lah-rah", but most everybody does the good ol "Lore-uh".
I can't even go into my last name... it's 9 letters and German. Very few people pronounce it correctly.
What did you dream about last night?
I don't remember, but that's a good thing. Every dream that I'm ever conscious of is horrible. I never have "good" dreams or even "weird" dreams... just plain nightmares. Been that way my whole life.
What was the one toy you wanted as a kid that your parents never bought you?
Submitted by Princess of Darkness.
A Barbie Dream House. My neighbors down the street had one and I absolutely loved it. But it was $100 and back then you didn't get $100 toys.
I also always wanted a Barbie swimming pool but I never got that, either. My Barbies used to swim in my mom's dishpan. I mentioned this to my co-workers last year and one of them brought me a Barbie swimming pool the very next day. :)
